Best Christian Biblical and Historical Fiction

Recommendations for Christian biblical/historical fiction books. Also, there's a ton biblical romance and Noah's Ark books out there. I'm not gonna list them all, so just follow those Amazon links and browse. Also, check out my lists for Christian sci fifantasyzombie/superhero, and general fiction.

The Betrayal by Douglas Bond
Will John Calvin be betrayed by a scheming servant? This guy writes tons of historical fiction, but my favorites have been Hostage Lands and Hand of Vengeance because his books about famous Christians tend to feel like sermons disguised as fiction. Still worthwhile, though.

A Week in the Life of Corinth by Ben Witherington III
Interspersed with historical notes, this fascinating story follows an event in the life of the Apostle Paul.

Day of War by Cliff Graham
A very gritty series that brings the adventures of King David's mighty men to life.

Byzantium by Stephen R. Lawhead
Follow the dangerous journey of an Irish monk and a silver-coated Bible to the emperor.

The Lost Letters of Pergamum by Bruce W. Longenecker
Eavesdrop on a series of correspondence between the Apostle Luke and an unbeliever who is reading his gospel.

What Our Eyes Have Witnessed by Stant Litore
Polycarp is the only person standing in between Rome and a zombie infestation! Other books in this series take place during Judges and Jeremiah.

Noah Primeval by Brian Godawa
An epic fantasy-ish series that highlights the supernatural elements of the Nephilim throughout Old Testament times. Cool concepts, but sometimes less than great.

The Fiddler's Gun by A.S. Peterson
A rebellious orphan tomboy gets caught up in piratical action during the start of the American Revolution. Well written, engaging, not sugarcoated, and doesn't hit you over the head with the history. Loved it.

Isle of Swords by Wayne Thomas Batson
The first two books in this series are some pretty fun piratical adventure with a noble pirate and fiery teen girl that almost border on fantasy. The third book is a weird universe mashup with the author's other series that I gave up on.

The Tinker's Daughter by Wendy Lawton
Part of a large series of books taking a look at famous Christian women in history.

People of the Ark by Vaughn Heppner
Another guy who writes a lot of flood and pre-flood fantasy stuff with nephilim, magic, and prehistoric animals.

The Flames of Rome by Paul L. Maier

The Last Disciple by Hank Hanegraaff and Sigmund Brouwer
A trilogy about (a lot of) the book of Revelation taking place during the time of Nero. Not bad, but would have been better shorter and more focused.

Gods and Kings by Lynn Austin
Kings of Israel.

The Bronze Ladder by Malcom Lyon
The story of Perpetua.

The Master's Wall by Sandi Rog

The Hawk and the Dove by Penelope Wilcock

Ben Hur by Lew Wallace

Konig's Fire by Marc Schooley
