I didn't really know how to classify these books. They're not sci fi, fantasy, historical, superhero, or zombie. I guess there's some thriller, horror, comedy, drama, etc here. Some of the books here are generally regarded as "Christian," but not really "evangelical world view."
The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan
Every Christian has to read this, right? Learn lots of new words.
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
Classic. Great insight. Also read The Great Divorce.
War in Heaven by Charles Williams
This is the other guy who wrote novels with friends Lewis and Tolkein. Supernatural thriller type stuff, probably not for everybody.
Evangellyfish by Douglas Wilson
A nutty comedy poking fun at contemporary church. Douglas sure has sex on the brain.
Gilead by Marilynne Robinson
An aging minister reflects on life and stuff. Sad and beautiful.
Johnny Come Home by R.C. Sproul
Sproul wrote a novel? Well, it's more like a fictionalized autobiography, but yeah.
Father Brown by G.K. Chesterton
A mystery solving priest. Chesterton's stuff isn't my cup of tea, but also check out The Man Who Was Thursday or his other novels.
Clear Winter Nights by Trevin Wax
Whose Body? by Dorothy Sayers
Flannery O'Connor Complete Stories
Hidden in Plain Sight by M.G. Selbrede
Nathan Coulter by Wendell Berry
These are some very good small-town human dramas, but I don't really know why people categorize them as "Christian."
Safely Home by Randy Alcorn
Finding Fireflies by A.C. Williams
Humorous and heartfelt chick-lit about a church secretary trying to help a girl get out of sex trafficking.
Hometown Prophet by Jeff Fulmer
Peace Like A River by Leif Enger - A beautifully written coming of age story with interesting themes of miracles and family and justice.
